No longer a holder having sold some weeks back. I am confident that Poundland share price will be well north of where it is at present but feel it will retest recent lows of 290-300 in the absence of any positive news flow. GLA.

Will need them all too as more and more people will have to change their spending habits!

Been considering this for a while but always thought they were fair value.

Close to getting on board.

"Standard Life forward funds Poundland distribution centre"

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

The Standard Life Investments Long Lease Fund is investing £30m to forward fund the development of a new warehouse and distribution centre for Poundland, Europe's largest single price general merchandise discount retailer.

Poundland has agreed a 20-year lease on the proposed 335,275 sq ft facility. Situated off the M6 near Wigan, the completed development will be Poundland’s North West regional hub, creating 800 jobs locally

Could be tempted at <320p.

The 3p could end up as petty cash. It is neither here nor there in the scheme of things.
A brave man might buy now, hold through the div, with a possible Sp fall of more than the said 3p, but sell at a profit in a couple of weeks time, the divi being an added bonus.
The danger is the adverse reaction to a US interest rate rise.
Am I a sufficiently brave man? Don't know!

This is looking ominous, falling again now even with the general market and the big supermarkets recovering .

Shareprice off 10% now in the last ten days - quite bewildering.

Bounce on the read across from those Poundworld results this afternoon...

'Poundworld profits more than double as UK consumers continue to count the pennies'

The discount retailer is growing fast following its takeover by US private equity group TPG Capital
