                          Statement re: Cancellation                           

Further to the announcement made on 9 June 2008, regarding the suspension of
the Company's shares in accordance with Rule 15 of the AIM Rules, the Company
has, to date, been unable to complete an acquisition in accordance with its
investing strategy as approved by shareholders on 6 June 2007. As a consequence
trading in the Company's shares will be cancelled with effect from 7.00 a.m.
tomorrow.

Following the cancellation of trading on AIM, the Company is no longer required
to have a specific investing strategy. The Directors intend to continue to seek
to acquire another company or business without focusing on any specific sector
or geographical location in which the company or the business operates. At the
time of any such acquisition the Board will consider whether it is in the best
interest of the Company to seek an admission to trading on AIM or PLUS.

Following cancellation, the Company's announcements will still be made
available on the Company's website www.pine-ventures.co.uk.
