Sky Fund is a private equity fund that raises money from institutional
investors and invests in mature Israeli companies. The Company understands
from Sky Fund, that it is interested in consolidation of its interests in the
HR sector. Under Israeli Company Law, the Sky consortium cannot buy more than
25% of the share capital of the Company without making a general offer to all
shareholders. The approval granted by the Israeli anti-trust authorities is
only concerned with the current purchase of 23% of the shares in PTI by the Sky
Fund consortium. Any future transactions may be subject to further regulatory
approvals.

It certainly looks like a transaction may be on the cards here, if you consider what is being said here.Quarterly results weren't great, but still a very sound business. Some value needs unlocking here.

on days like today most investors and traders were looking where they could take profits or limit losses so i guess a lot missed this one

This is great news......shareholder value at last! Did you spot this?

"SKY Private Equity operates an equity investment fund for which it has raised
approximately US$120 million from institutional investors in Israel. The
Company understands that SKY holds a controlling interest in Adam-Milo, which
competes with PTI's operations in Israel."

What would you do if you bought 23% and had a business in another field? What about a merger or a going private deal. If they launch a bid then the price will need to be above 20p I suspect. Maybe they are looking for a reverse takeover- how big is Adam-Milo I wonder?

This company seems to be turning things around very rapidly. It's a bargain at this price. I think the Israeli format of reporting results put some investors off. Should continue to see a re-rating to 25p and beyond imo.

-good to see positive cash-flow in the last quarter
-market is valuing these as a complete 'basket case'....but the re-structuring looks to be paying off to me, and any pick-up in business should result in reasonable profits...
-with a market cap of £2m or so, not difficult to see they could get a significant re-rating, once they've demonstrated some decent profits
-if, for example, they could make a 5% margin on their £13m or so annualised sales, which onw would hope would be near the bottom end of their target, that would give a profit of some £650K. Assuming no tax (due to past losses), that's something like 2.5p eps putting the shares on a potential p/e of around 3.....
-or a 10% margin would put the shares on a potential p/e of 1+
-ok, they have to acheive those sort of margins first, but the figures illustrate the sort of up-lift that could be available here.
-interesting to see they have now got someone in charge of Investor Relations...think this is a new step and with the recent appointment of a new broker hopefully signals a desire to better inform the investing community of PIA. Think i will give her a call.

-think the funds are being put up by a group of Israeli investors
-at least, that's my info
-de-merger was pulled last time as the Israeli authorities made the fund-raising a condition of the de-merger
-but did'nt give PIA enought time to arrange funding
-least not at a level PIA were prepared to accept
-assuming de-merger goes ahead, all looks goo to me
-IMHO

Undervalued company, media division has a good product and as stated this will be demerged very soon, hopefully releasing value. Good time to get in me thinks, but what do I know.
PS Equity Investor seem to like it.

As regards value todays issues of Investors Week and Shares magazines both feature articles on PIA with recent values of around £11m (share price approx 43p). They also refer to a potential value for Pilat Media alone of £30m.
