Phoenix Copper Takeover Rumours (PXC)

The project would no doubt have considerably more value if it were developed by a very large mining company, with the skill, capital and economies of scale to get the mine into production efficiently and speedily. But a company like PXC has none of these advantages and will constantly be botching things given capital constraints, eg buying second-hand equipment of unknown reliability and productivity. Costly breakdowns and delays then become more frequent. But if the project were put on the market, would it attract any interest? There’s no evidence it would. No takeover offers have arisen despite an ultra low share price.
