there is no hope for PELE for long time,

although they hired a COO last summer, the CEO and chairman has many jobs else where and only works for PELE one hour each week.

Ok, I'll give you the farm in, Rizzzla ! That is since the results. Where are the spuds at la Paloma and other activities promised ? What I don't understand is why their communication with investors, which was significantly improved a couple of years ago, has nearly evaporated completely. You begin to wonder if the board are happy to see the share price depressed.....

La Paloma Exploration and Production Agreement

Two new well locations were defined for Colon-4 and Colon-5 based on seismic attributes studies and new seismic interpretation, which are anticipated to be spudded at the end of 2011

Lebrija Licence

A review of the existing reservoir and information on the well is ongoing in order to re-evaluate the future potential of the Dona Maria field, with a well work proposal expected to be released in December 2011. The field currently has two producing wells

Midas Exploration and Production Agreement

Exploration activity on the block continues with the initial processing of the recently completed 78 square kilometres of new 3D seismic. Utilising this seismic a new exploratory prospect should be defined in the central part of the block for possible drilling in the first quarter of 2012

they need a few serious lessons on public relations

nothing has happened since ?

a $15 million farm in for 85% is not enhancement then.
giving the remaining 15% a value to pele of around $2.5 million

at least 10p of the current share price is in cash

Re (4) there are no specifically expressed plans to take it private, but it must remain a possibility with such a controlling stake and such a low share price This sentence from the final results last June suggested to some on this bb at the time that it might be being considered :-

"Accordingly, we are currently in the process of reviewing and evaluating strategic alternatives for the further development of the Company with the objective of maximising shareholder value."

Certainly nothing has happened since, so where is the value enhancement going to come from ?

Extract from the RNS issued 21st June 2011 and have a couple of questions.

Following the issuance of the abovementioned Interest Shares and Conversion Shares, TOGI and its related companies now hold, in aggregate, 76,122,225 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 62.59 per cent. of the Company's enlarged issued share capital and warrants over a further 32,308 Ordinary Shares which are automatically exercisable if, and to the extent that, any exercise of the Company's other existing outstanding 60,000 warrants occurs.

1. At what price are the 32,308 warrants, above, exercisable?

2. Who owns the 60,000 warrants above, and at what terms?

3. Are there any other warrants outstanding?

4. TOGI own 62.59% of the company – are there any plans on taking the company private?

Cheers,
PB

I think we are in grave danger of moving sideways in endless suspended animation until someone sticks a hole in the ground somewhere. Is this still an oil company or have I missed something ?
Seriously, the only significant move will follow a decision by our majority shareholder as to what they intend to do about the future ownership of this vehicle.

Thanks, will hold fire here. L2 looks week at present and it doesn't take many sellers to move l2. I believe it will start to move once drilling programme is announced but how long do we have to wait and at what cost to the price

Having taken a position, i closed out and managed to scalp a 1p profit per point. It was the slow drain on L2 that made me take that profit. L2 now only showing 6 mm and with only two left on 16p, the market in the share is making me more nervous - so will keep a watching brief, but i expect it to slip short term. Although longer term i still believe it offers value.

I am therefore banking on repeating my trade, but risk being out of the market.

I note that a number of small oilers are up today including BLVN, HDY, PELE, SLE, SQZ. Any chance that there is good bad news coming and that all of these companies are up on the back of bad news –> Iran is once again threatening to block the Strait of Hormuz?

All so quiet here! Have bought back in here, why two key points.

1 - Debt facility
2 - Shell Deal

Both parties will have got far more insight than us and if you are prepared to invest/lend then you would have good reason - this is a silly market cap against what is being invested and lent! Hence i expect news flow and movement!

L2 starting to firm, and with this stock, when it moves it can move very quickly!

Seems a good deal and I have to say given all that we are reading about French banks shrinking assets surprised to see a French Bank coming in new here, although the use of the word lenders and Global CoOrdinator suggests that this has been syndicated.
Don77 you are correct to flag up what Macquirre with their 9.6m shares or 7.92% of the company will do....especially in light of the fact that they have 8m warrants at a 50p price that can be excersized before Aug 2014.
Will not be adding because of this news-though did a modest post Shell top up. Basically if I was management I would buy all the Macquaire shares and and an appropriate price for the warrants and take the company private.
With this deal they do not need any funding they could raise from the market even if it was available and they will save themselves time money and hassle.
I note no warrants involved in the new financing.
I wonder what happens to the Macquire imposed hedging contracts.
