Pentagon Protection PLC 25 August 2004 Pentagon Protection plc - Overseas Licensee appointments Pentagon Protection plc ("Pentagon" or "the Company"), world-leading specialists in making glass safer and more secure (for vehicles and buildings) announces that Pentagon GlassTech, its automotive division, has appointed four new Licensees in Cyprus, Dubai, Kuwait and Greece to take their global expansion forward, increasing the number of licensed operations to 23. Interest has focussed recently on Pentagon GlassTech's award winning SupaGlass vehicle anti-intrusion product and its ability to resist thieves, car-jackers and to protect occupants from violent attack. Some of Pentagon's licensees supply the product to Original Equipment Manufacturers such as those in the automotive sector, as well as governmental and public services, including Police Forces, and the Ambulance and Fire Services. SupaGlass helps to strengthen vehicle windows through the application of a special polyester film that is professionally bonded to the inside face of the glass. In the event that a window is broken, SupaGlass is designed to hold glass firmly together to resist intrusion into the vehicle or to protect the occupants from being injured by flying glass. Since going public on AIM in 2003, Pentagon has also sought to expand its product offering. Pentagon's recent acquisition of Filmtek, a world leader in protecting glass in buildings, has now enabled its Licensees to offer Pentagon Filmtek's renowned bomb-blast protection and glass containment solutions. Graham Bannerman, who was previously Filmtek's managing director, has recently been appointed as Chief Executive for Pentagon Protection plc. Pentagon is now talking to a number of entrepreneurs and multi-national corporations that are seeking licences or options for their home territories, into which they see the potential to supply Pentagon's products. Most enquiries are coming from areas where vehicle attack or vehicle crime is rife and also where there is heightened threat of terrorist bomb attack David Thomas, Pentagon's Chairman, said recently: "Although it is unfortunate that much of Pentagon's recent success and future prospects are linked to a worldwide increase in terrorism and criminal activity, we are also proud to be offering real solutions that will help to save lives, reduce injuries and protect property."
