06/3/2008 11:54 | FatCol I'm lead to believe the cash machine division is on hold as it hasn't got the money to carry on, FD wont sign off a penny over £5k... the competition must be having a field day.. can any one shed some light on this | slick14
05/3/2008 09:25 | So what are you doing with your proxy forms - binning them ? | teasle
04/3/2008 21:35 | Interesting post FatCol - are you suggesting that the good ship Shi*zone will soon be leaderless as well as penniless as well as clueless? Mr Mills x 2 are you planning to step back into the breech? | littlereec
27/2/2008 13:19 | Looks like I was right about SCT. Shares suspended there as well. looking to do a CVA - also known as "end of the road - you've all lost your investment." Irish Pete (Smyth) has now managed to suspend shares in both companies he's on the Board of. Will he have his wages suspended as well or will he continue dipping in the till whilst its's all going horribly wrong. I hope we have better luck with Sh*tzone. | danny678
25/2/2008 19:50 | mmills - a good informative post - what these forums were meant for - I suppose you can see both sides of the story on this one - 135p in retrospect a good deal (given recent share price history) but as the shares were at 135-140 (possibly higher if memory serves - you can confirm i'm sure) at a point then 150p would have been realistic. Always a difficult one without the benefit of hindsight which of course we now have! Not sure that the old team having pops on forums is helping current investors recover on investments though which was my original point. | potter0505
23/2/2008 19:33 | potter0505, you'll be glad (or sad) to know that we had an offer after Moneybox was integrated of 135p per share from the UK's largest pe firm and I asked shareholders (and was pushing for us to sell) but everyone thought there was more jam and wanted 150p - the exec directors all agreed we should sell at 135p, but no one else did. We'd have all been out at 135p and everyone would have been happy...but despite us all working in the business from the day we started it, everyone else was a lot more clever than us full time founders! Funnily enough, quite a few of the shareholders have contacted me saying that they wish they'd followed my suggestion now.... | mmills
22/2/2008 11:01 | As a fellow shareholder I am confused on who to vote for..... Do I vote for Thian and his mottly crew who have just lined there pockets and are maybe just back for another large pay off. or Do I vote for a couple of blokes who didn't realise that an ATM company actually installed cash machines on a regular roll out programme to keep the company moving forward. Some honest advice would be much appreciated. I am looking to vote for the lesser of the two evils Thanks | trunner
21/2/2008 14:44 | At this rate after Thian has negotiated himself another massive compensation package he will no doubt be deemed bona fide by H M Treasury to offer advice to Northen Rock! | haha2
20/2/2008 13:45 | nigelmills - what was the market cap after the profits warning and sale by the management at 138p? Did it ever reach those dizzy heights again - in fact did the market cap ever exceed what was paid for Moneybox and HBOS combined?. I won't be in Ireland. | potter0505
20/2/2008 11:59 | Looks like a discounted fundraising now aswell before they relist. This company just gets worse by the day. Why dont they just not bother re listing it! Payzone seeks 33m as stock trade resumes "sources have played down speculation that the fresh capital injection being negotiated is a move to appease the highly-leveraged company's debt backers" | lbo
19/2/2008 23:11 | Potter0505. Moneybox was a good deal. We got the share price back up as well. Will you be at the EGM ? | nigelmills
19/2/2008 19:24 | The Hidden Agenda - if you like your management to dump their shares a month before the profits warning at top dollar then continue the love in. | potter0505
19/2/2008 16:49 | potter0505 - while I agree, the old management did fall at a few fences, they looked like a shining beacon of competence when viewed against the current shower of sh*t. As for the profits warning, at least they issued one! Rather than suppresed it like Thian has tried to do. I can't wait for this to come back from suspension, I shall be dumping all shares day 1 whatever the price, rather than wait for the ineviatable 0p | thehiddenagenda
19/2/2008 15:16 | Nice to see the old boys are here warming their hands on the burning bombfire - maybe while you're all in a jolly mood you can explain why you thought £90.5 million for Moneybox was money well spent followed by a profits warning which wipped off almost half of the share value. Something about glass houses, stones etc. Have your fun by all means but try not to fall off that very wobbly moral high ground won't you. | potter0505
19/2/2008 09:02 | so we got the old cardpoint team here - are you guys going to give the 'new' payzone management grief? Lets just see the share price get better so we can bail! :-)!! | stewart_25
18/2/2008 12:09 | I'll pass on your regards Chris ! | nigelmills
18/2/2008 11:19 | Nige good to hear from you I cant be in Ireland that day unfortunately so will need to rely on you and Mark holding the fort - I know my interests will be in capable hands. | chanson
18/2/2008 11:02 | Looks like the old team are all here ! Will we be seeing you in Ireland as well chanson - I'll reserve you a seat on the front row with the pair of us ! It seems like these new style EGMs & AGMs will be more exciting than the old ones. I remember when we struggled passing resolutions because no one attended to vote - BECAUSE IT WAS ALL IN SAFE HANDS AND GOING THE RIGHT WAY NOT THE WRONG WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for your questions, I'm quite sure the new team will have all the information to hand on the day. All in my most humble opinion, & obviously do your own research ! | nigelmills
18/2/2008 08:24 | MMills As a shareholder, I would like to know more about Payzone's bank debt. How much is the facility, how much is drawn down already, when is it reviewed and, most importantly, what are the covenants and, if they haven't been breached already, how long before they are. I can't imagine it will be long before the banks have this in "intensive care". | chanson |
