Thanks for bringing this one to my attention tara, you posted a few recommendations on another board last night, most of them were very very risky, but this one seems like a gem... Hopefully... I will send you a magnum of finest champagne when we hit 100p in 2015 :-)GLA no advice intended...

Just DMOR here....

The technology OXA have sounds pretty good, but it's hard to value.

For example:

(a) I am thinking that reducing the reflectivity factor of screens from 1% to 0.3% sounds pretty good, but does this make enough of a difference for people to pay extra for it?

(b) even if they were to capture say 10% of the billion-dollar market they say exists, and so had a $100M turnover, what sort of margins could they expect? A cut-throat 1% or 2% margin [or gross sales royalty] would not be that helpful... Is there a comparator company producing screen coatings to work out what sort of margins they get?

As for the adhesives, again sounds great tech, but not very easy to value as the end uses are even harder to define...

But I suppose for a £12M market cap, they don't have to make a massive profit to justify that...

On with the research...

Thanks for any info from LTHs....

Best time to buy any AIM stock is when a seller is about. They then hand you the shares as the right price.

The dog of the week was Oxford Advanced Surfaces (LON:OXA), which lost over half its value after an influential tip sheet put out a sell recommendation on the stock.

Sources close to the group are mystified by the call. OXA is well funded with more than £5mln in the bank and is less than a year away from commercialising its breakthrough coatings, they point out.

"Frankly I find this a bit all a bit odd. If anything this is the time to be buying," my source tells me.

"The share price provides an opportunity and there is a lot of speculative interest in the background."

Hi Yachtie8078 !

We all live and learn and it is not a loss till you sell (not taking the opportunity cost into account of course.
