Joy Baggaley, Orbit Group Finance Director, has decided to retire from her position at the end of January 2020.

Joy joined the business in August 2017, initially in an interim capacity and then as a permanent employee. Her decision to retire was expected as she has already stayed beyond the two years she had committed to stay with the business.

During her time with us, Joy has been instrumental in developing our funding strategy, including the issue of a GBP450m bond for the business, enhancing our risk management framework and maintaining a strong financial market position during some challenging economic times.

We have commenced recruitment for a Group Finance Director, and I will update you in due course. However, I have asked Jonathan Wallbank, Director of Corporate Finance and Treasury, to step up during this period and lead the finance function.
