OLD MUTUAL SOUTH AFRICA TRUST PLC ("the Company")

Declaration of dividend


The Board of the Company is pleased to declare an interim dividend of 1.96 pence
per share in respect of the Company's retained revenue reserves, representing an
aggregate amount equal as nearly as practicable to the retained revenue reserves
as at 31 August 2006. This dividend will be payable on 13 February 2007 to all
shareholders on the Company's register of members at the close of business on
26 January 2007.
