OLD MUTUAL SOUTH AFRICA TRUST PLC (the "Company")

As a result of RNS 0552T, released at 16:18 today, which gave amended figures
for the Net Asset Value of the Company as at 30 November 2003, the entire second 
paragraph of RNS 0423T released today at 13:12 was incorrect. The correct 
figures are provided in the statement below.



All other details are unchanged.



The Company is pleased to announce that at this morning's Annual General
Meeting, Resolution 7 in favour of the Company continuing for a further year as 
an investment trust was passed.

Approximately 70% of the proxies received and shareholders voting at the meeting
supported the continuation resolution.

The Company is also pleased to confirm that the sterling net asset value capital
return for the twelve months to 30 November 2003 was 33.8%, compared to its 
benchmark, the FTSE /JSE

All Share Index of 33.5%. Since 1 January 2002 (the date the benchmark changed)
the Company's sterling capital return was 59.5%, an outperformance of 11.4% 
against its benchmark.
