23/7/2011 12:39 | Lidl is where the servants shop! | maxk
23/7/2011 12:05 | What is this Lidl? Why do people think that beer is expensive in the shops? In my younger days a 3/4 pint can was the same price as a pint in the pub , hence nobody ever had beer in the fridge. It was only for cup finals and xmas. I've got a houseful of booze now , so if there is a natural disaster , I'll be ok for 5 years or so. | bionicdog

23/7/2011 09:22 | Use the grain and hops and follow the recipes that are around. A Baby Burco boiler and a grain bag consisting of a canvas sack around 600mm high, 300mm dia and a net curtain forming the base. Lovely stuff. Did it for many years when beer was expensive and we were poor. Coming that stage again with beer becoming more expensive in the shops. But the Burco has long gone and I dont know if the wife will make another grain bag. It did make a sticky mess on the floor of the kitchen and dont make it too strong. \The beer is for quaffing not for getting drunk so it is not appreciated. | darias
22/7/2011 20:47 | OK I admit to using beer kits. It was early to mid 80s when I last tried. | sg31
22/7/2011 20:16 | Agreed val! I used to do homebrew beer...lovely stuff, everyone liked it (male that is) Overdid it one night with fellow drunken pals, and when I woke up the next day, the wife had chucked the whole lot down the dump. She admitted later that she was waiting for me to kill her, but I felt so ruff I was almost greatfull. it was great stuff, but way way too strong. Such is life! | maxk

22/7/2011 18:17 | Isn't that a bit over the top. If he needs more space he could build an extension. 1 shed is OK 2 sheds... Oh I get it. That's where he houses the eastern European domestic staff. | sg31

22/7/2011 10:36 | Can we be doomed next week instead? It's a nice sunny day, I don't want to be doomed when the weathers nice. | sg31
22/7/2011 08:31 | Mid- price chart looks awful. If we can't sustain the slow rising channel after the huge drop , then we're all doomed. | bionicdog
