I got out of this one ages ago at 1.3 pence. All statements looked too good to be true and there is a strong case for suing the company for misleading information and failure to update the market. On that note, i wish all investors well for future share dealings and wish nothing but failure for any company connected with John Everard or Terry Matthews! I feel better now, plus the sbc technology is antique now and has been surpassed. No point holding shares in the equivalent of a 286 computer is there? what a shame, things could of been great . .

Dont think we will hear any outcome from yesterdays meeting which will be kept highly discreet yet judging from NO movement on the stock it seems no news has been spoken out so reckon we shall have to wait close to or after 18th of march which could either be positive or negative.based on the trades lots of stockholders have sold big amounts of shares in the last few weeks. honestly my gut feeling is nng wont be de listed and contine on the stock exchange as normal.if nng are de listed i would be suprise and a private investor taking over i feel is highly unlikely.

I'm no expert either, but as far as I can see if they de-list, you will still own shares, but cannot trade them on the stock exchange. There is no guarantee that they will ever re-list and there is no guarantee that anyone would need or want to buy your share privately (as they only need 51% to make all decisions), including the decision to re-invest all profits in their pockets. Therefore you could be left holding a worthless piece of paper.

Major investors may top-up in order to hold the company to ransome to achieve the 50%+ they need to delist. However, with the spread so wide, my view is there is far too much risk that the above will occur and they will not need shares from small investors like me, hence I've decided not to invest here.

If I've got this wrong or anyone wants to add more, then please feel free to correct me.

Guys, From my understanding a vote is required in behalf of NNG either you favour de listing or not? If i was to vote for de listing nng would this make a difference to what is payed out by a private investor in nng or beeing de listed completely?? please advise as i dont want to be making the wrong mistake?

"a major investors is going to buy them out"

where are you getting that from?
Posted at 20/2/2009 09:45 by hamilton
wolterix,

I understood that the rumour to be "a major investors is going to buy them out" Don't know which one, but I assume they are already listed ?

I believe THM would have wrapped-up NNG a long time ago....

Trading in NNG would have already ceased, if only to reassure investors with interests in his other ventures.... he's not the type to let things drag-on if there wasn't an opportunity somewhere?!

A change of strategy (on packet voice) in BT's 21C project is a possible!
The 1460 is in with a chance of being looked at again if such a change were announced.

Another (less lucrative) possibility is that the delay enables John Ackroid to claim a tax refund (against R&D spend?) ...remember he's an accountant!
I don't know if money back from the tax man is possible? - unlikely I think!

I wonder why the NNG legal entity (with huge losses on the books) hasn't already been snapped-up by one of the profitable companies within Wesley Clover portfolio in order to use the £tens-of-millions of losses to reduce a tax burden (at next to no cost)?
