Posted at 06/1/2012 12:49 by markt "MWB spending money they don't have in order to get over 75% of MBE is a very bad sign for remaining minorities here". ...does look strange.... I expect that Prryo Investments or any large investor in MBE won't be very happy.... (if MWB squeezes MBE for money then maybe the 2 get taken down by MWB'd debt costs....or maybe not....have to wait to see.... at least it looks like the 2 of them will at least be around for the Olympics which one assumes will give them both a profits and valuation boost) |
Posted at 07/6/2011 18:22 by yump Well, whatever happens, as others have done, I've now added the entire list of directors onto my 'watch' list. Whether it turns out OK for minority investors or not, I certainly will be exercising my option not to invest anywhere near them in future, even if it does turn out to be brinksmanship. Its a b....y long list since 1992 ! Unfortunately, there's always a new supply of names. |
Posted at 27/5/2011 15:54 by yump When you see this sort of shenanigans going on, I do wonder whether some of those Chinese companies that are greeted with something pretty close to xenophobia from UK investors, must be watching us thinking "what a load of hypocritical b.....ds". Not surprising they withdraw from their listings here. |
Posted at 12/6/2009 14:10 by yump Got this from 5th Jan 07 on an MWB thread:According to today's Investors Chronicle - which has MBE as one of its Tips of the Year - although MWB's management team wish to eventually turn the 68% holding in MBE into cash, they also think MBE's expansion plans will create significant value, and so are unlikely to look for an exit until at least the end of 2008. |
