RNS Number:4915H Murchison United NL 10 August 2006 ASX, AIM and Media Release 10th August 2006 GUINEA URANIUM EXPLORATION LICENCES UPDATE Murchison United NL ("Murchison" or "The Company") (ASX:MUR, AIM:MUU) is pleased to announce that it has been granted two additional Exploration permits by the Republic of Guinea covering an additional 584 square kilometres. As previously advised the Company held six exploration permits over three separate concessions known as Firawa, Bohodou and Sesse. Based on work to date in the Firawa and Bohodou concessions Mr Bosse Gustafsson, Exploration Manager, was keen to secure prospective areas adjacent to the initial permitted areas. As such application was made and permits granted covering an additional 108 square kilometres to the Bohodou concession (now totals 1081.32 square kilometres) and an additional 476 square kilometres to the Firawa concession (now totals 1,516 square kilometres). In addition, based on field work undertaken by Mr Gustafsson the licences have been extended to include Rare Earth Elements.
