Mpower Adds Swidler Berlin Vice Chairman to Board of Directors

customers, announced today that Andrew D. Lipman has joined its Board of
Directors. Lipman is Vice Chairman of Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman (SBSF)
and the Chairman of the firm's telecommunications, Internet and new
technologies practice.

Lipman has spent more than 25 years developing SBSF's telecommunications and
information technology group into one of the largest practices of its kind in
the nation. He practices in virtually every aspect of telecommunications law
and related fields, including regulatory, transactional, litigation,
legislative and land use. Lipman is also co-founder and the first Chairman of
the Association of Local Telecommunication Services (ALTS), the national trade
association for competitive telecommunications carriers.
