Restatement of financial statements
Further to the announcement of the interim results for the six months ended 30th
November 2007, which was released on 3rd March 2008, the Company announces that
a number of aspects relating to the presentation and disclosure of the interim
financial statements need to be restated, in order to take into account the full
effect of the conversion from UK GAAP to IFRS.
As a result, trading in the ordinary shares of Mincorp PLC has been suspended
until the restated financial statements can be announced in a fully IFRS
compliant form, which is expected to occur by Monday 10th March 2008.
In the restated financial statements, the Company will include its investment in
ATPK Resources Tbk at market value (showing a profit against the historical
cost, less deferred tax thereon). This market valuation was disclosed in a note
to the balance sheet in the announcement of 3rd March 2008.
