Midland Heart shares ESG strategy and performance in latest report

Midland Heart is sharing it's latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report. This provides an overview of the organisation's performance and pathway to low-carbon, and how its sustainable actions are making a difference to tenants and the homes they live in.

Highlights of this year's report include record levels of investment in homes, with energy efficiency upgrades completed in over 160 homes thanks to funding acquired through Wave 1 of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund.

99% of Midland Heart homes now have a minimum EPC rating of D, with over 77% at EPC C. These improvements supported the organisation achieving SHIFT GOLD accreditation earlier this year, making Midland Heart one of the top performing landlords in the sector for environmental sustainability.

The organisation has also handed over 670 new energy efficient, affordable homes to local people across the Midlands, and is on track to achieve its development target of 4000 homes built and/or acquired, within its current corporate plan period (2019-25).
