So how much of a deal is 10 AD units?

how much does 1 unit cost?

Promising though...
Maybe other banks or other establishments will copy their example?

link provided earlier today by afrorich:

Bank Muscat International (BMI) head of human capital Mohammed Bu Shehri said it was natural for people to panic as the pandemic was a new phenomenon.

"In such situations, people assume the worst case scenario and naturally panic," he said.

To combat the threat posed by the virus, BMI staff have been given detailed information via e-mails and posters and urged to use hand sanitizers distributed throughout its offices.

The bank has also bought around 12 Air Disinfection (AD) units, which claim to destroy 99.999 per cent of bacteria and viruses, including swine flu.

"We have bought these devices which will be installed in our operations department, where there is more contact with customers," said Mr Bu Shehri.

The units were developed by UK's Defence Ministry Portan Down Research Centre to combat biological warfare and have been launched by international environmental technological company Inov8 Science.

Mr Bu Shehri said there were no plans to introduce tests for swine flu among its staff, but said if any worker felt ill - whether with flu symptoms or not - they had been instructed to seek medical treatment and take the day off.

However, he added there were no plans to bar customers displaying influenza-like symptoms from entering its branches.

Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) chairman Mayank Malik said the organisation was concerned about the potential impact of swine flu, given the fact the virus could spread in any workplace involving face-to-face interaction.

"It's not only banks, its restaurants, hotels and schools," he said.

Mr Malik, who is also Citibank Bahrain chief executive officer, said any epidemic could hit the country's economy, which would directly affect the banking sector.

"However, all banks are following the government's guidelines to combat the spread of the virus to prevent this," he said.

More links from the past few days, If you have not noticed

If you are thinking of getting in on these don't wait too long as the share price seems to fly with small buys.

I'm not ramping just placing facts. If you think Swine flu isn't going to be a strong topic soon then this is not for you. DYOW

I mentioned Bahrain and the panic there together with a new supplier in Bahrain the sole distributor to the gulf states.

This is a link to news out there today. Gulf news

This is talking about banks and swine flu. In amongst the report is:

"The bank has also bought around 12 Air Disinfection (AD) units, which claim to destroy 99.999 per cent of bacteria and viruses, including swine flu.

"We have bought these devices which will be installed in our operations department, where there is more contact with customers," said Mr Bu Shehri."

News is spreading fast in Bahrain and the gulf states re the AD device. No doubt the AD device will appear in the gulf news time and time again in the coming weeks.

The same will happen here once the media start and it seems just about any other country mid-states spot the opportunity and there is the NHS trials news to come soon too.

It's always nice when your logic matches the actual facts. I was guessing the company were waiting to jump on the swine flu pandemic, well I was right all along. Look at this link (clean room technology) and the quote from it.

"Inov8 Science is ramping up production of the AD units in advance of the second swine flu wave which will enable organisations to take action now, in order to limit the effects of the disease."

It's gonna fly soon.
