Bought a few SFX today. Was discounted from it's placing price of 0.5. MRD took a large sell but still held firm.

I bought 500,000 shares over half an hour ago and its still not showing, but I may have put the price up because it went up almost at the same time as I bought.Seem it does not need much volume to increase the price....any ideas why

So any sizeable buy should move price up. Given the sell limit, it would probably take a huge sell to move it down.

Can't believe I almost went against everything I believe in by getting a price quote on these last Friday. Was quoted 0.02p over the offer price for just 1m shares, so decided to leave it. In hindsight, buying at 0.1p would have been a good move!

Having reviewed the potential opportunities for the remaining listed shell of
Meriden Group Plc I have been actively searching for businesses which will
relaunch the Company as a broad based business services group. I am hopeful that
my discussions will be successful having had a significant amount of positive
feedback from these. Should suitable opportunities be found then this will
enable the Company to continue into the foreseeable future and hopefully provide
an increase in value for shareholders, having seen the investment values
dramatically drop over the last 18 months.

140% in a week on no firm news must mean some good news is on its way....why would so many investors be buying for no reason THEY MUST know something. As I have said before if Steven's has a new company to reverse into MERIDEN it is difficult to keep the lid on this and news will leak out....perhaps this is what is happening.

clivee This is a shell with a new company supposed to be reversed into it.......
it is in Steven's interest to make sure a success is made of Meriden and I only hope he does just that, thats why I have invested in this possibility. STEVEN'S also have plenty cash invested and its his own unless he is not telling the truth, so I keep the faith.
