Its all about "risk"

This has just been "de-risked"

Money= accounts can be passed as a going concern (without cash they couldn't)

This means they have bought time.
The results have to be out by 30th of June or suspension.(now they can be)

A 1p placing means there is very little downside so once again the "risk" has been minimised and favours the punter.

i think swizz hit the nail on the head...

people failing to see the signs ....in black and white....

always amuses me when a stock surges 50% or more like MCR did on no news but when there is actual "good" news people are nervous and the price barely moves....

although small in size that was a good placing at what was a premium to mid here when most placings are at discounts....look at MIN today and even MSMN last week

Maybe swizz but the amount of shares he holds has gone up along with the % ...the new % will be applied after the new shares are settled and if and when the convertibles convert....

Swizz, not sure if you also follow TGL but looking at the shareholder notifications, there appear to be positive developments in the 'family' so to say. Bergamo is another Italian name to remember alongside Cardonal and Arrigoni. I suspect that these announcements are a lead-up to a possible deal.

As mentioned earlier a solid update......

We now have in recent weeks confirmation of new major holders, Bergamo, Ward and Johnson holding almost 25%, we already new there was very little in the way of free float as a result of the holdings of Stanhill and their team,

We also now have the added detail that the company is now in a position that.....

"The capital raised will provide Mercer with the financial flexibility to advance a number of strategic investment discussions and the implementation of its investing policy. The board is currently reviewing a number of possible investment opportunities and will update shareholders of progress in due course."

Finals should not be to far away, taking into account December Year End, so we should have a clear understanding of the net cash position, including todays circa £200k being added to the kitty........all bodes well IMHO for an interesting few weeks/months ahead and the company still appears to be well of the radar of the wider investment community, along with the Mkt cap still being well under 1M.....GL S

I think the phrase "You can lead a horse to water but you cannot force it to drink" is very apt in relation to Mercer Resources and the investment community, based upon recent news flow.......GL S
