London Heathrow Airport cargo operations up 941% since start of COVID-19 crisis
London Heathrow Airport, via its official LinkedIn account, reported (06-Jul-2020) cargo only operations increased 941% year-on-year to more than 9000 services since the start of the COVID-19 crisis. The airport handled more than 272,500 tonnes of cargo since the start of the pandemic.

Thankfully, after being furloughed for over 100 days of due to the COVID-19 pandemic, myself and my nightshift colleagues returned to work at London Luton Airport for Menzies Aviation and our customer airline easyJet.

It has been a great challenge for us as a team to adapt to life under the threat of COVID-19 and it’s fantastic to see that everyone working are in high spirits despite this global pandemic.

A massive thank you goes out to those at Menzies, EasyJet and Luton Airport who have been working so hard behind the scenes to make sure we get back to work as soon as possible, but also as safely as possible too.

I'd argue they couldn't afford to 'freeze' their economies the 1st time.....with government support due to increase costs to businesses next month and with it then ceasing altogether in October.....the questions here are: Do MNZS need to raise?.....and if so, at what price? (ie do they not need to raise at all?....do they need to raise and if so can they afford to 'hope' the share price rises and raise then?.....or do they need to raise now meaning they are at the mercy of the current share price which would be hugely dilutive.....always more questions than answers......

Plenty - Countries cannot afford a second lockdown. There will only be partial localised lockdowns. No country can afford to freeze its economy for a second time. So airport activity will be the backbone of any economy.

I am convinced that MNZS would not experience a worst situation than the one that has already passed. The more we move forward, the more airport activity will be flagged up. So everything has tanked for MNZS and any next move will be up. I am accumulating each time it drops.

most of the transportation support stocks that I follow are doing better than MNZS. Is it managed buying as buffetjr suggests or simply weakness?

On 1 July we had a massive traffic increase in the @eurocontrol Network. Yesterday this was sustained with 12,722 flights✈ᥧ9;.
The latest @eurocontrol Network Manager Recovery Plan is expecting traffic to go up to 18,000 by mid August – around 50% of 2019 levels
