#93072 Just back from bike ride.

I don't know what is the 'proper' proportions in a pint of gin and tonic, but I work on 1/3 of the glass gin, therefore nearly 2/3rds tonic and ice, just leaving room for a measure of lemon or lime juice.

By the way I bought a bottle of 'Navy Strength' gin last Monday. 57% Proof!

Some years ago I was in a pub outside Oxford when a chap came in who was probably off hunting shortly. He ordered a triple gin and downed it at a stroke, then another and did the same. He also had one of his hip flasks filled with gin and one with sherry.

Although it's even simpler if the ratio is 1:3, which maybe it is. Then you're just talking about a double triple.
