In the past the idea of hiring a hotel room for a short period of time came with certain conotations.

But now ByHours, a pay-per-use hotel booking platform is urging UK hoteliers to offer customers hotel room stays as short as three hours, to capitalise on what they call a "very real demand for micro-stays."

The app is in use in Spain where customers reportedly use it to for example find somewhere to grab a few hours sleep while visiting relatives in hospital, or to find a room to get ready for a night out in after a day of shopping.

Coffee shops are a favourite among travellers stuck at airports and business people killing time in between meetings but could that all change next year?

I have already faced reality that I wont see any of my money again so far as meldex is concerned. It is history but could become news again if someone somewhere decides to seek another form of justice. You never know.

Trouble is, journalists deal in news and Meldex is history. I hate to be negative but there comes a point when you have to face reality.
