How about we single out one of the "weaker players"? I see Peter is alive and well with a company called Primedia Solutions and Journolink. Good to see Gemma Ibbetson has a job there too. Daughter or wife?
Maybe we could all start tweeting him in a structured way without falling foul of libel rules? He's only got 101 followers but it's a start as those followers will have connections too.

Patel must have known. He choose to skulk away rather than do the right thing and blow the whistle imho. Amazing to think out of all the people involved not one has any morality.

predict doom , do a little research , when Scotland goes it own way the people of Scotland will still be British.

It the dissolving of the Union of the crowns of the UK that will happen. This will be the case Until someone decides to rename the British Isles .

sorry to bring the bad news to your usually sunny self. :-)

Dear Mr Ibbetson

I was a shareholder in a Company called Meldex International PLC, a Company that for a lengthy period of time you were a Senior Non Executive Director and then a consultant.

As you will no doubt be aware Meldex is no more. The demise of Meldex has had a considerable impact on many peoples lives, mine included, resulting in the forced sale of my familys home.An experience I would not wish on my worst enemy.

I have become increasingly concerned that effectively Meldex was nothing more than a glorified scam, which benefited a few with over inflated salarys and perks.

As shareholders we only ever received positive news which was reflected in numerous RNS. I still cannot understand how these RNS's could have been issued when in effect they were blatant lies, however, what is as concerning is the RNS's that were not issued, that were price sensitive, and in my opinion created a false market in the trading of the stock. Had these RNS's been isssued ,as required, shareholders would have been afforded the opportunity to reassess their position in Meldex International PLC.

It is my opinion that the Directors and indeed the Regulatory Authorities have some serious questions to answer as to their handling of this disgraceful affair.

However I have a few questions that I would like to ask you directly.

1) It is my understanding that during the month of February 2008 it was apparent to the Board of Directors that Meldex had a severe cash flow problem looming, which resulted in the Company breaking its banking covenants. At no time was an RNS issued to that effect.

Why was no RNS issued Mr Ibbetson?

2) Later during the same month Directors issued an RNS rejecting Acquistek’s offer on the basis that it “significantly undervalued the Company” On what basis did it significantly undervalue the Company? It is my understanding MDX directors were only able to issue shares at 45p on 24 January and a mere six weeks later felt able to advise shareholders that an offer worth more than double that price represented a significant undervalue.

Can you explain please?

3) In October 2007 the company announced it had secured a contract worth $5/6 million per year to supply its film product. On 23 January 2008, during the first offer period, MDX directors issued a further RNS confirming the gain of this contract. Between 23 January 2008 and 18 February 2008, the film supply contract was cancelled but, despite this event occurring during an offer period, no announcement was made by the directors to the market.

Can you explain please?

There are other RNS's that should have been issued inparticular those concerning the issue of shares, however the above are the main ones I wish to focus on for the moment.

I hope this letter will not be consigned to the bin.You have a high profile business image with your emphasis on communication and clarity. You have a golden opportunity to practise what you preach and give me and other long suffering shareholders some answers, its the very least we deserve. I would be more than happy to meet you to discuss these issues face to face should this be more acceptable. I look forward to your reply.

Yours sincerely

Well, there you have it. Brexit 101 from Theresa May, casually dropped out in conversation to Andrew Marr, a Thatcheresque, head slightly to one side, attempt at a charming, soothing smile included. Then rammed home via the raging spittlefest of a Brummagem located, getting more righter winged by the minute,Tory Party Conference,

Via some sleight of hand European law is to be corralled and ring fenced into UK legislation, then dumped component by component at the leisure of the Brexiteerial storm-trooping element of hopefully one of the very last UK (as we know it) governments. To be replaced by what? Be afraid folks, be very afraid.

Democratic it ain’t going to be because Parliament will be informed, rather than consulted, on most of it (kind of like Scotland) . Eat that cereal. It’s going to be more Great Rock n Roll Swindle than ‘Great Repeal Bill’.

The auld lady of London in the golden hat will spill the beans further in her next Tory Government speech to the Palace of Westminster. I hope Messrs Robertson, Darling, Prescott, Foulkes, et al, are all shaken from their mid-morning nap, amidst the ermine sleeping bags and expenses
