To think 10 years ago they turned down a takeover at 2 or 3 times this price with a portfolio worth nothing compared to what they have now. This is a mugging!

Same thing happened to me with investment in software company, went bust, bought back by directors for a quid, announced big deal a week later

I went to see my MP on behalf of the shareholders group about the corporate theft going on at yell/hibu, I feel another letter coming on...

Lost for words regarding the offer!

Sorry lads decided to call it a day and just sold 600,000 in two chunks (@5.71p) for a very, very small profit. Not prepared to wait weeks for a few extra pounds. Will invest the proceeds elsewhere and hopefully make more than the extra 0.29p on offer.

I wish all my fellow Poker Club members all the very best (in particlar Barry & Trout). Hope you all have a great Christmas and a healthy and sucessful 2014.

Best regards and "cheerio" folks.

I remember writing on this thread that aim companies use mug punters to find their research and fund their wages to allow them to build large stakes and then at the 11th hour when the money is going to come in they screw shareholders. Someone on here said that I was talking rubbish, it would never be allowed, and I should remove the post before I made a fool of myself.

Looks like it can happen after all

Some companies are run by people with integrity. They are not all the same.

It is carefully orchestrated and don't be surprised, now reading who else will remain, that FDA approval doesn't arrive in short order and the psa+ testosterone strip with incentives to you can guess who when it does.

We will never know. Shareholders will have no share.

Behind every scheme there is a schemer.

In addition, it is expected that Omer Karim and Mark Emberton will continue as directors of Mediwatch following the Scheme becoming Effective. No discussions have taken place between Laborie and Omer Karim and Mark Emberton in relation to their incentivisation arrangements. However, Laborie does intend to enter into discussions with Omer Karim and Mark Emberton once the Scheme has become Effective. It is expected that Mark Hughes and Charles Cattaneo will resign from the Board upon the Scheme becoming effective, but Mark Hughes will be retained for a period following the Acquisition to assist with the integration of the Mediwatch business into the Laborie Group. Mr Cattaneo will have no entitlement to compensation upon resignation, save for the payment of any accrued but unpaid fees or expenses including his contractual notice period of 12 months.

A morning for farewells then, so thanks to trout and everyone else who have been (generally) good humoured & informative over what is now quite a long period. Much appreciated.

Best of luck, all.

very astute barry.

notice the newsletter, was it a bit of a cover to say news was in the market when really only a select few get the publication or know where to look for it?

it reads better than an 8M market cap.

has there been any attempt to avoid a rising sp?

they certainly haven't looked to promote much to potential new shareholders have they?

have people not suggested doing so? what was the response? etc.

Unfortunately Trout, I think the price has been held down over the last few months, the lack of news flow including, major orders, complete clinic set-ups etc. should have been RNS'd, they weren't, so people didn't buy when with a few positive RNS releases many may have.........

Barry,
I think you have that right 'their own personal terms'. The Directors, apart from PS, just about breakeven on their shareholdings so it will be the other incentives that will have persuaded them, which doesn't align them with shareholders at all.

I wish this end had have been during the summer months, then I could have loaded into SUMM at 4p....have done so ,but not with the funds now released,so it's not
such good timings as others may achieve during their investment periods.

I have come out with a gain, and that's about all I can say...could swear though

A farewell to all,Optomistic..I think we shall meet up somewhere along other threads..

Hi Smudge,

As you say for the BOD to throw their hat in with Laborie at this stage with a block on their shares, is very poor show. They like the other holders in the RNS could have put in place a price for a higher bid to come in, but they obviously like their own personal terms in the deal......

They are supposed to consider employment too but I can't imagine much uk opreations to be needed. Kiss those jobs goodbye over the next 18 months imho. At least they might get a better pay off from Laborie.

As for the share price prior. Yes, hands may have been forced if it moved up before offer announcement as the 12 month peak share price would have been higher and it have been due a leg up into Jan 14 as cost cuts started to show through to the bottom line.

Hi all...

Watched with interest after selling out a few years back, imo, a typical stimpson move, look after yourself type affair, the buyout price is wrong on so many levels but that is a done deal now, blocking any future offers, MDW RIP
