Melrose Resources plc (LSE: MRS), the oil and gas exploration, development and
production company, today announces the resignation of Kelvin Hudson as a
non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect. Mr Hudson, who has
been a non-executive director of Melrose since 2003, is managing director of
Saffery Champness Guernsey.

Robert Adair, Executive Chairman, commented:

"We would like to thank Kelvin for the significant contribution he has made to
the Company during a period of rapid growth for the business and wish him every
success in the future. We are actively looking to appoint an independent
non-executive director and will make a further announcement on this appointment
in due course."
