08/3/2019 17:30 | The EPS would have fallen (further) if the company had stood still since profits would have been flat and the tax charge higher due to having used up deferred tax assets? There is nothing MRS can do to prevent paying taxes, short of becoming loss making (and nobody wants that). Revenue, profits before tax and operating cash flow increasing are all promising, healthy signs (especially cash flow, which I am much more interested in). Profit, whilst a useful indicator, is still an accounting term and can be manipulated with differing rates of depreciation etc, whereas cash flow is undeniable and what ultimately drives (and makes or breaks) a business and on that measure MRS is in rude health. Whether that cash flow is spent on assets to grow more cash flow or on paying down debt faster both improve the balance sheet. Dividends are also what can provide shareholder value and cash flow will eventually provide for dividend payments once CAPEX reduces and debt is further paid down. Appreciate that directors on Aim are generally not to be fully trusted, which is why one needs to keep on top of the news flow for any signs of worry but so far it appears that cash is being wisely spent on genuine assets that is enabling positive growth. | king suarez
08/3/2019 17:01 | King Suarez re - Interims OK Maybe you are forgetting that the EPS is what gives value to shareholders and valuation to the company in real terms Profits UP but EPS down, not good You need earnings enhancing acquisitions to bring the company forward, acquisitions just to get the profits up is a waste of time. I know of few companies long time ago( decades ) that made acquisitions to get turnover up and Directors remuneration well up and on so doing Large Debt, only to later go kaput ( Coloroll, Sheraton Securities, etc )The CEO of Sheraton gave me a tip at the AGM .... "contruction goes on cycles you should sell from time to time", as I said I was a 3 years holder, lucky me. | master rsi
08/3/2019 16:44 | I suspect some of those selling (and keeping the share price down) are the contractors awarded 14m shares at 6.5p who probably want/need to realise cash? | king suarez
08/3/2019 16:40 | So I somehow completely missed those unaudited interim results, but they look v strong to me: EPS may come in a little lower than prior year due to: a) Higher depreciation charge due to spend on non-current assets b) Higher taxation due to higher gross profit and using up deferred tax asset However: 1) Operating cashflow has increased significantly from prior year and also increased from the prior 6 months 2) Debt is lower than at 30 June 3) Cash balance is higher than at 30 June 4) Net assets show a AUD $4.5m increase in the last 6 months So the debt to capital ratio has reduced further: (17,477k + 2,491k) / (17,477k + 2,491k + 14,793k) = 57% Down from 66% at 30 June 18 and down from 83% from June 17. This is all good news in my book. | king suarez
08/3/2019 16:30 | King Suarez re -earlier figures meaning earlier guidance will not be fulfilled after the poor EPS Interim I know about AGM (resolution 4) but some sort of money has to be raised to bring the debt down or you will not see a profit on the shares for a long time otherwise. | master rsi
08/3/2019 16:29 | At least I can write in English.Back to school for you, Master. | apfindley
08/3/2019 16:16 | The liar has spoken did you ever went to school, with such GUTTER language? apfindley - Member since: 29 Jun 2010 Location Isle of Man Age 39 years College King's College, Cambridge | master rsi
08/3/2019 16:10 | Master RSI, "Those figures were from earlier, believing their Profit before tax, but after the Interim disaster on the EPS the latest half figures 1.35c less than last year 1.43c converted at A$1.80 to £, it gives EPS of 0.75p, and the Update was for full Year of 2.6/3p. If everything goes like now EPS of 1.70p will be hard to reach." Which figures are you referring to? The latest financials are for the year ended June 18. Since then we have only had the guidance issued on 17 Jan? You've lost me... unless I have missed an RNS somewhere? Edit: I see the RNS has been removed from LSE website? Or was never RNSd: hxxps://www.proactiv Also re: any potential equity raise - this proposition was voted against at the latest AGM (resolution 4) and so is not on the cards? KS | king suarez
08/3/2019 15:58 | Then why not just sit back and wait. Why do you feel the need to micro-monitor something where youre actually only waiting for a single and specific rns about the restructuring, before you invest.Just sit and wait for it.You're a moron, pure, simple, undeniable. | apfindley |
