                    MAMA Group plc ("MAMA" or the "Company") 
                            Appointment of Chairman 
MAMA announces that yesterday Simon Foxwas appointed to the Board as Chairman. 
 
Simon currently sits on the board of HMV Group Plc, as Chief Executive Officer, 
a position which he has held since 28 September 2006 having been appointed to 
the board of HMV on 4 September 2006. He was previously the Chief Operating 
Officer for Kesa Electricals plc with responsibility for Comet in the UK, Kesa's 
subsidiaries in continental Europe and e-commerce developments. Prior to his 
appointment as COO of Kesa, he was the managing director of Comet Group Plc, 
which he led through its demerger from Kingfisher. 
 
Dean James, Chief Executive of the Company said, "I am delighted to welcome 
Simon to the Board. His acumen, experience and position within the industry will 
be fantastic assets to the Company as we look to the exciting future which lies 
ahead for MAMA."
