                                Issue of equity


Maelor plc (the "Company") confirms, as reported in the company's 2006 annual
report, that on 11 August 2005 it allotted 176,250 new ordinary shares of 10p
each at a price of 10p to Utek-pax Ltd in return for the supply of services.
Application has been made and admission to trading on AIM is expected to occur
on 22 December 2006. These shares will rank pari passu with the existing
ordinary shares in the Company.
