DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT

M&G  Equity Investment Trust P.L.C. announces that  at a meeting of the Board of 
Directors  held today, it  was resolved to  declare a third  interim dividend of 
0.46p per  Income Share, in respect  of the two month  financial period ended 4 
March 2011 (Three month period to 31 March 2010: 1.25p). 
This  represents a total dividend for the eight month period to 04 March 2011 of 
3.31p (Nine month period to 31 March 2010: 3.75p). The dividend is to be paid on 
02 March 2011 to Income Shareholders on the register at the close of business on 
21 February 2011. The ex dividend date is 17 February 2011. 
 
The dividend will also be payable to holders of Package Units.
