18/1/2012 12:50 | Lol Disposal...they managed to sell it at 10% below the carrying value!!!! What are they doing? Distruction of shareholder value? | ![]() praipus
18/11/2011 14:34 | Hi Skyship, LWT: Agreed it is rare for us humble PI's to get a look in at prices the primary market participents are able to achieve. As to the underlying: SR.: (I have created thread there too) I recommend browsing the iterims and on doing so myself actually found them mildly reassuring. Perhaps just perhaps the underlying could swing up 20% as easily as they came down. PS. I like Russia and Turkey. Russia know how to do a default and press on unlike Europe. Turkey has one of the largest and youngest populations and therefore a strong and willing economy. | ![]() praipus
18/11/2011 13:49 | Well, WEISS certainly got a bargain at a very special price; but to buy @ 35p in the Market does perhaps need some passing knowledge of the Private Equity portfolio. As for the other you mentioned, SR., cannot for the life of me see the value in that one. A euro-investment trust (Europe, Russia & Turkey) with an NAV of c180p for a price of 165p - hardly value that one! | ![]() skyship

15/11/2011 17:23 | 54.52p NAV and the ask at 35p gives a discount of 35%....if that narrow's with underlying growth prospects or liquidation it seems a reasonable trade. | ![]() praipus
15/11/2011 16:22 | They reported an NAV of 54.52 per share as of 30 Sep. | ![]() hoveite
15/11/2011 16:15 | Hi Hoveite any idea what the NAV is here now? | ![]() praipus
15/11/2011 16:06 | Looking at the trades reported for 10th Nov Weiss got their stake at a great price - 25.5p when the quote was 42p-45p. | ![]() hoveite
15/11/2011 13:38 | Created this thread after noticing Weiss Asset Management snap up over 20% To follow Weiss's other investments: | ![]() praipus
15/11/2011 13:32 | Created this thread after noticing Weiss Asset Management snap up over 20% To see Weiss and other active asset managers investments go to the WAM thread: | ![]() praipus |
