Takeover offer for KWS. And a encouraging update for MTI, and a nice cash pile of over $8 million, very good for a small AIM company..
Darktrace have also had a takeover bid..
VLX results above expectations. 25% growth... Song takeover offer..
My first takeover of the year CTO. But the bad news for me, its one of 3 companies I hold outside a ISA or sipp. So lots of tax to pay . Especially now its only 3k allowance..
And another takeover coming in, this time for Lok n Store.
Takeover offer for one of BB holdings CAU
GHT have had a takeover offer..
Just noticed Lord Lee's latest FT article published today (nearly missed it as i hadn't realised it was due out today) - "A year of takeovers can fuel my portfolio". He reckons 2024 will be the year of the takeover. I was saying just this very thing back last Xmas. Although here we are nearly the end of March and nothing yet but i think LL is right and all three of us will land one or two at some point this year.. He says that he would be sad to see his large MNG or AV get taken-over.. He also says that we should all be worried and ashamed that so many young people would rather speculate in Crypto than the UK stock market..
I really do hope Generali plump for one of the others mentioned here: hTTps://
Takeover offer MTW, not one I know, but some were in in the know as it suddenly spiked up yesterday afternoon...
SPT takeover bid, big premium..
I find it a fascinating exercise to watch my portfolio evolve over time (and i'm not talking days or weeks here, i am talking over a few years). I was looking back at what my top four holdings were three years ago and they were as thus: 1) TET 2) ANP 3) AVG 4) LGEN That was when TET was at about £10 a share and it's now at £4 so not unexpectably it's dropped from my top holding to about seventh now. It's really interesting watching different holdings jostle for position over time. This is my top four holdings today: 1) AVG 2) CNC 3) MNG 4) ANP MNG i barely even had a holding back in 2021. The vast majority i bought in 2022 with the proceeds of a takeover that year. Equally CNC was a much smaller holding and it too was mostly added to that year. I wonder what the next three years will look like..
I'm surprised CSN isn't getting takeover speculation. A quality company whos share price is massively underperforming. It would be sensible acquisition for some of the bigger insurance boys.
My long suffering share holding VOD that I've held for 7 years and I'm about 50% down with ( but have had stacks of big dividends over the years) is rumoured to possibly to under review for a takeover. Bloody hope so, ill be glad to get out, especially with a half decent offer... hTTps://
Good article on BOWL in last weeks IC that i was reading over the weekend by Phil Oakley. (High up on my wishlist now). He reckons for investors wanting both growth and income it ticks all the boxes. A pe of about 13 and dividend yield of 5%.. I feel the same way as he does because he also goes on to say that with the recent takeover of TEG this puts the spotlight on BOWL as the UK's no 1 operator of bowling centres. Private equity really think they are great investments and he wouldnt be surprised to also see a takeover here. If so then to put it on a similar take-out price of TEG would see a share price in excess of 400p and possibly much more..
Gama are worth alook 134, million cash pot, and shares look cheap. So many shares i fancy, just need afew takeover now...
I've got a nice bottle of Irish whiskey might have to join you later. 🥃 I think we both are indeed of a takeover just to bring some excitement too your Portfolios...
I've got a few STB which i bought over a year ago at the same time i bought CTG from the proceeds of a last takeover i had. Two of my much smaller holdings along with MANO. Talking about takeover he reckons 2024 will be the year of the takeover and i couldn't agree more. Havent i been saying this here for the last few weeks.. Looking forward to next months podcast with the CEO of Concurrent..
I've had TATE and DUKE div's in Jan but little else.. Full year results for TON see's loss double. They are struggling but Harwood capital fully in charge now with one of their guys in the Chair. I intend to stick with them as either i expect a takeover or a recovery. TET Q1 to be a bit softer.
Takeover bid for WIN 50% premium.
WOSG ran-up a lot in price especially during the pandemic when people were panicking thinking the world was coming to an end and puting their money into watches. Now they all want to sell.. I'm seeing SPI advertised on TV a lot lately. On my wishlist of a REIT to buy but i need a takeover first to release some new funds plus i have a bunch of other stocks i want to buy too..
That takeover of TEG has got me looking at BOWL more closely. Arguably a better company with better growth prospects. I'll have to do some work on it..
Takeover for TEG.
My current top 3 buys if I had takeover or two are. Gdwn, Tsco, Rel.
Poor update from TON. Not unexpected, i knew it was coming but Rockwood have 26% of the shares and have initiated board changes there. I expect either some kind of break-up and sell-off or a takeover within the next few weeks to release value.
