                            Investee Company Update

LAC, the Asia focused merchant banking group, is pleased to provide the
following update of recent activities by some of its portfolio companies.


LAC Zhongying Capital Co Ltd ("Zhongying")

To date, Zhongying has provided over RMB 500 million (#33 million) of credit
guarantees to several environmental and renewable energy projects in China.

Zhongying is the largest (by registered capital) specialized commercial Credit
Guarantee Company with foreign investment approved to date by China's State
Council.

Zhongying's core business includes direct investment in resources and energy
projects as well as providing credit guarantee and investment banking advisory
services to a portfolio of renewable energy projects, including:

* RMB 300 million credit guarantee for a working capital loan to a waste
water treatment plant, the largest waste water treatment plant in Central China,
with daily capacity of 400,000 tons;

* RMB 100 million comprehensive guarantee to the largest Flue Gas
Desulfurisation service provider in China;

* RMB 100 million credit guarantee for a working capital loan for a coal
mining investee company of Zhongying, with annual capacity over 2 million tons.

* RMB 30 million credit guarantee for a working capital loan for
Shanghai listed leading clean energy and infrastructure investment group.

Zhongying plays a very active role working with a portfolio of renewable and
environmental projects as the financial advisor and guarantee provider. Where
appropriate, Zhongying also applies its own capital to take a stake in projects.


MyEG Services Bhd (MyEG)

Our Malaysian investee company MyEG has this month successfully raised new funds
and listed on Malaysia's MESDAQ Stock Market, at a significant uplift in value
compared to our original investment cost in 2004. This is the first of our
portfolio businesses to list in Malaysia, with much of the work done by our
Malaysia associated company EAsset, and adds to previous listings we have had in
Singapore and London.


China Eastsea

China Eastsea Business Software, the PLUS listed business process outsourcing
(BPO) business in which we hold a stake and act as corporate advisor, announced
last week it has won three more contracts, totaling #3 million, with Sinopec,
the Chinese oil company.


Peach Blossom Media (PBM)

PBM, the PLUS listed Singaporean headquartered media business in which we hold a
stake and act as corporate advisor, today released a trading update with details
of contracts won in 2006, proposed new TV production contracts and merchandising
initiatives, and a push into China.
