            Investee company Century Data makes significant progress


London Asia Capital plc ('London Asia'), the Greater China focused investment
and merchant banking group, announces that its investee company, Beijing Biaoqi
Century Data Communication Technology Co. Ltd. ("Century Data"), has concluded a
number of significant strategic alliances aimed at making its product the
industry standard.


The alliances are with the following leading Chinese national industry
associations:

* China Machinery Industry Federation;

* China Instrument Manufacturers Association;

* Instrumentation, Technology & Economy Institute for Machinery
Industry;

* Ministry of Information Industry Software & Integrated Circuit
Promotion Center


Under the agreements, these associations will work with Century Data to speed up
industry-wide standardization of data communication between machinery
instruments, based on Century Data's wireless GPRS technology. This could
accelerate the establishment of Century Data's patented machine-to-machine (M2M)
wireless data communication product as the industry standard across China, with
the aim of pre-installing the communication product in a range of machines. With
the market growing rapidly as a result of China's increasing industrialization,
this could create a huge opportunity for Century Data as the leader in the
field.


The alliances give Century Data the ability to share the extensive partnership
resources, expertise and experience in the field of machinery instrument
manufacturing of the Associations.


Century Data is a wireless data communication service provider focused on the
corporate market in China. The business operates in partnership with IBM, which
provides the hardware, and China Mobile, which provides its GPRS data
communication platform, enabling nationwide coverage.


Century Data also recently secured a contract to install its proprietary GPRS
remote monitoring device in Shuan Lian's existing installed base of nearly
10,000 central air conditioning units in China. The remote monitoring device
will also be pre-installed in Shuan Lian's new central air conditioning units,
projected at over 1,000 units per year. Shuan Lian is one of the leading central
air conditioning equipment manufacturers in China. The remote monitoring device
helps Shuan Lian in monitoring equipment performance, receiving malfunction
alerts, timely preventive maintenance and speedy dispatch of service crews to
support its many customers in China.


A similar contract has also been signed to install Century Data's GPRS remote
monitoring device in Mitsubishi elevators across China. The device enables
Mitsubishi to monitor elevator performance, organize preventive maintenance,
identify problems and improve operational efficiency across the company's large
installed base of elevators in China.

rapidly since London Asia took a 10% stake in March 2004 for #0.6 million, and

together with these new alliances, firmly establish Century Data as the leader
in their field in China."
