London Asia Capital PLC ("London Asia" or "the Company")
Shareholding in Company
London Asia, the AIM-listed Greater China focused investment and merchant
banking group, has been notified of the conversion of all of the remaining
#56,333 of Convertible Loan Notes into 1,126,660 ordinary shares of the Company.
Application has been made to admit the new ordinary shares to be issued to
trading on AIM and admission is expected on 20th January 2005. The total number
of issued ordinary shares in the Company admitted to AIM following the issue
will be 129.8 million.
Simon Littlewood, Chief Executive, said: "The conversion of the remaining Loan
Notes completes the process begun at the end of last year to simplify our
capital structure and remove the potential dilution from the Loan Notes. The
conversion of all of the Loan Notes over the last few weeks has strengthened our
balance sheet by increasing assets by #500,000 and saves the Company #50,000 a
year in interest payments, freeing up resources for further investment."
