This used to be my biggest holding and still hold a modest amount but to be honest there are better yields elsewhere.(yield wise)
I have my doubts as regards Simoes and judging by the share price performance I am not alone.
I am no fan of the takeover of Direct Line by Aviva and hence sold out recently again better returns else where.
I think the first set of results that will have an impact on my future endeavours are Aviva on the 27 February and will take my cue from that.
In the meantime happy to just 'JUB' in and out.
I do have targets where I will be minded to buy but still some way off in this topsy turvy market. I still perceive a lot of fear and short covering whether buying or selling.
All the best regardless

#Netcurtains, as the US indices and PE valuations look so high (to me), investors will be looking at undervalued companies, we have had takeover bids just in my PF of BVIC, DLG, SMDS through 2024 so growth is available at a price, income seekers will be looking at steady/stable high yielding companies that will still be here in 25/50 years time and these 10% income companies are a snip provided the dividends are well covered and earnings are projected to grow..
I do not chase explosive growth, just steady/stable companies with a wide moat and a respectable payout, there is a bigger safety net underneath an index that has flat lined (or should be) than those that have already exploded upwards, 2025 could be our year to catch up a little.. :o)

I expect to see a lot of retail investors jumping ship from AV to LGEN in the coming weeks as they digest the dilution and synergy balance/reward of AV's takeover of DLG. I've now sold all my AV and bought here. Better mid term visibility and better dividends.
