25/10/2012 20:30 | Yes. Rubbish RNS and rubbish directors who have no idea of where they are taking this company. The fact remains that there are more sellers than buyers. No demand for the shares at all. | johndee
25/10/2012 10:00 | There was so much 'demand' for more shares that they issued them at well below the market price. Is that correct? Isn't it so that increased demand is supposed to raise prices? Why didn't the buyers just go into the market and sweep up the millions of shares that can be had, if they liked them so much? | 2magpies
24/10/2012 23:05 | ....and who is/are the institution(s)? I'll tell you if you haven't worked it out yet you donkey. YOU ARE!! | pwhite73
24/10/2012 13:59 | Because despite all the de-ramping we've seen over recent months, smart investors know there's a very good and very large deal coming and that the II's buying a shed load of shares at 0.22 will expect a significant ROI. These two equity placings have helped underpin the current share price and have given folk a sense that things are drawing closer. Plus people still have the chance to buy in/increase their holdings just a shade above the IIs. | ali00
24/10/2012 13:37 | Issue of Equity Further to the announcement on 18 October 2012, Leed Resources plc ("Leed" or the "Company"), the AIM quoted natural resource investment company, is pleased to announce that, following further demand from investment clients of Peterhouse Corporate Finance Limited, the Company has raised an additional £459,000 by way of an issue of 208,636,363 new ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each at a placing price of 0.22 pence per share. Application will be made today for 97,272,727 new ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on AIM on 30 October 2012. The remaining 111,363,636 new ordinary shares are expected to be admitted to trading on or around 8 November 2012. Following this issue of equity, the Company's issued ordinary share capital will be 3,105,177,766 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence. The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares. Peter Redmond, Chairman, commented "We are very pleased with the additional demand from investors. This will further enhance our ability to make attractive investments or acquisitions. The Board continues to review opportunities across the resources sector and is confident in further enhancing shareholder value in due course." | ali00
19/10/2012 19:49 | The clue is perhaps in the last line of the following statement: Peter Redmond, Chairman, commented "I am pleased to announce this placing, which is in response to market demand, as it enables us to build our cash resources with a view to future investments or acquisitions and increases the attractions of the Company to an incoming party." | ramsis
19/10/2012 15:41 | It fell because why would they need to raise cash as 0.22 a share if that rumour was really true. It would make no logical sense whatsoever. I hope though that the rumour is true for all you holders. | johndee
19/10/2012 14:19 | From the Times today - market report section. Leed Resources fell 10.9 per cent to 0.24, although rumours refused to lie down and die that the investment company was close to reversing in a large Indonesian oil and gas asset at a significant premium to the current market price. | ali00
