imo - most important part of LAN's RNS:

"In the absence of the Issue completing the Company is unlikely to be able
to continue to trade in its current form."

In otherwords, for certain if the Placing is not taken up, it's curtains for LAN.

At the close of play today, the share price is below the Placing Offer...
