Another one bites the dust

Trading may be too small in this one to benefit from the customary over-reaction to a profits warning, perhaps. Iceland and Manganese Bronze, to name but two, over-reacted and rapidly put 20 per cent. or more back on.

JUST COME ACROSS THIS BABY VIA MY SHARE SOFTWARE AND AFTER SPENDING A COUPLE OF HOURS, NEWSPAPER SEARCHING, PROF & LOSS ETC. CAN SEE NO DOWNSIDE AND WHAT A DIVIDEND.IT IS WORTH A 6 MONTH LOOK JUST ON DIVIDEND ALONE. CHART LOOKS GOOD ALSO. ONLY RESERVATION IS THE AGM IS TOMORROW (9/5/2001) BUT STILL WORTH THE RISK, LOOKING AT THE WHOLE PICTURE. A NICE QUIET UNDERVALUED 50% I AM SURE.

For the record, one of the major retail outlets is Marks & Spencer ...which may explain a certain nervousness. However, I would agree they are excellent value, and bought a couple of weeks ago at 153 p. ... I only wish I had filled my boots ... or do I mean slippers???

It's not often one gets a second chance at this, but I had them pencilled in as seriously undervalued two or three years back ..... but didn't buy any at that time. If I remember rightly they went from 170 ish to 300 or so, so it is nice to get another nibble.

PS. A quick recap says they were about 150 at the end of 1998, and had a trip north to 370

After some good results these have just drifted off & look extremely cheap.I understand they may be written up soon by a broker.Take a look & post your thoughts.
