13/11/2013 15:42 | Good lord! over 55M shares traded today! Clearly the underwriters have waded into the market to do their job but it does leave you wondering what will happen over the next week or two. To me this is gambling rather than investing so I will sit on my hands for the moment. | salpara111
13/11/2013 15:09 | This is un genuine, if it was over subscribed at £2.25 who's been relentlessly selling all day below £2.00.........I don't think I'll be sticking with this one gut instinct tells me move on already! | ricky46
13/11/2013 15:05 | ricky46 That looks like that is the one. | minerve
13/11/2013 14:35 | a 22.8million trade went through at 14.08 for 2.21 | ricky46
13/11/2013 14:32 | Just read further; this to me is all about the BoE commenting on UK recovery. The BoE statement basically implies the interest rate cycle is moving quicker than expected so interest rate hikes are getting closer and QE is going to end. This expectation kills bond prices and hits future price growth in the housing industry. This company invests heavily in bonds and holds the rights to property within its assets. The markets are a little jittery at present, but apart from interest rate expectation and debt liability, this correlates very little with Infinis. IMHO & DYOR Minerve | minerve
13/11/2013 14:16 | Saying that, looking at the volumes, they potentially could have exhausted that already. 15% is approximately 22m shares. IMHO & DYOR | minerve
13/11/2013 14:12 | If the share price has dropped below the offer price the sponsor has, at that point, damaged reputation. The stabilisation mechanism affectively acts like a 'covered short', so now that the damage is already done, the lower the price the tranche of shares purchased the more money the sponsor will make. They have up to 15% of offer shares to play with over a period of 30 days so they may wait to act and implement the stabilisation piecemeal. Knowing there IS a stabilising purchaser waiting may provide a good buying opportunity; particularly if the underlying figures are healthy; I haven't looked yet. IMHO & DYOR Minerve | minerve
13/11/2013 12:58 | Seems to be a bit more stabilised now but I am still not sold on the idea of taking a stake. The business is a one trick pony which adds to the risk element. I think I will just stick it on my monitor for the moment. | salpara111
13/11/2013 11:26 | ricky - it would be really good to have the charts in your header. If you don't know how to insert them, go the the header and the "edit" button. Then copy and paste this into the text box: [Not a holder ... yet!] | jonwig
13/11/2013 10:50 | sp 2014PE 2015PE 2.5 14.5 12 2.25 13.05 10.8 1.89 10.962 9.072 will yield 1%? | dasv
13/11/2013 10:48 | Well, PA. is getting absolutely crucified today...sp down about 25% at about 310 now Vs its float price of 390 less than 6 months ago so I think I will just watch for now. | salpara111
13/11/2013 10:35 | Agreed, the underwriters are clearly unwilling to take stock on to stabilise the price which is why I am even more reluctant to take a stake if they can't even be bothered to do their job. I have to go out now so won't be able to watch for the next few hours and I simply dont have the confidence to press the buy button right now. | salpara111
13/11/2013 10:32 | Need balls of steal here and I'm buying more Market cap of £900million ish, nobody even knows these are on the market | ricky46
13/11/2013 10:30 | Don't get it as it should be stabilised! The underwriters should buy the shares back. | ricky46
13/11/2013 10:29 | Salpara111 go on the just retirement website and check the figures they look good, the institutions will hoover these up...Just my opinion, good luck, this has not even been advitised | ricky46
13/11/2013 10:23 | Seriously heavy volume going on and weighted to the sell side so all those disappointed institutional investors clearly still have their hands in their pockets. I am tempted to take a stake but the share price just lurched quickly towards the 190 line which leaves me feeling rather uneasy. I think I will keep an eye on it today and see if it stabilises before taking a stake. | salpara111
13/11/2013 10:11 | This was not advertised as it was oversubscribed within 2days just read an article, don't forget if it doesn't get away they can pull the plug.....I also bought Merlin. Your right it has been hit by PA but this has got to be worth a punt at these levels... | ricky46
13/11/2013 10:03 | Just seen this and am now hesitating as to whether to apply for some of the Infinis float. There has been very little comment about it in the financial press. I got some Merlin so am happy with that as it was heavily oversubscribed and opened up 10%. Clearly you are not guaranteed a good premium.....unless the government is selling off what we already own at a huge discount! This one has been hit by the trading statement from PA. which have some similar business lines and has also dropped well below its IPO price from just a few months ago. The problem with any private equity IPO is that they only seek to offload when the market is at its best...FTSE near multi year high, debt still cheap etc. The question has to be....what is left for the next owner? | salpara111
13/11/2013 09:52 | Not a good IPO launch | ricky46 |
