New contract win
Journey Group plc, the leading provider of in-flight products and catering services to the international airline and travel industries, today announces a new contract win for Air Fayre CA Inc (the Group's "US Division") with FedEx Corporation ("FedEx"). FedEx Corporation provides customers and businesses worldwide with a broad portfolio of transportation, e-commerce and business services.
The three year contract is for the US Division to provide in-flight catering services to FedEx's crew members for an average of 70 flights per week out of Los Angeles International Airport, a large port for FedEx domestic distribution, and is expected to commence from 1(st) July 2013. The US Division's existing Los Angeles facility will service the contract in addition to the average 130 commercial flights per day that it currently caters for.
Stephen Yapp, Executive Chairman, said: "Partnering with FedEx as a new client is strategically important for the Group, further demonstrating the unique flexibility of our model and widening our future opportunities. This continues the momentum of other recent announcements of flight awards from "Old Continental"/New United Airlines and JetBlue Airways which together have established the US Division as a business whose scalable patented model is building a platform for growth".
