Results in January? looks a very good company.
Maybe not too late to buy into Jelf.
I already hold BNH, a competitor.

Interesting morning, share price up by approx 7%. Started with 3 MMs with NMS of 2k, now have 2 on 1k and one on 500. Looks as though they are either short of stock or are expecting news? Edit: - or both!

Yes, this is good news. I know that he hasnt actually 'bought' any new shares, but this is a great vote of confidence for shareholders imo.

Well, we are still none the wiser for friday's rise or the steady rise of the last two weeks.

I still think there could be something going on behind the scenes. I wonder if someone is running their slide rule over this company.

What do others think ?

you have to suspect a bid/offers which will be announced Monday morning.Often,if the company is big enough and something is happening then a PR piece in the Sunday papers

Well now, not so quiet in here now !!

Must be tipped somewhere surely ?

Unless bid rumours. This wouldnt surprise me as a lot of consolidation is going on in this sector.

Trading statement not fantastic, but pe is still too cheap against estimates anyway so shares should still rise from here.

They are not normally backward in coming forward with news but just found the following apparently published today in "FT Adviser". Have I missed something or stumbled on old news? No details on size of deal etc. Link below should take you to the article I hope.

Jelf continues on acquisition trail

Corporate consultancy the Jelf Group, has announced the acquisition of Shropshire-based insurance brokers, Hern Waters.
The Ludlow-based business was established in 1972 and offers a general insurance and financial planning service to a range of local and regional clients.

The existing Hern Waters team will be joined by additional staff to expand the business.

Jelf group was founded in 1989 to provide a one-stop shop for corporate clients.

It consists of five principle businesses: Jelf Corporate Healthcare, Jelf Insurance Brokers, Goss and Co Insurance Brokers and Financial Services and Jelf Financial Planning.

It listed on the alternative market in October 2004.

Yup, NTV I reckon you might just be right. Directors have been loading up since Aug, big chunks on the move last week and some healthy looking trades so far this week.

Last year there was a pre-close statement issued on 10th Oct, I wonder, or am I in 2+2=47 mode?

Good Luck

Only just noticed the chunky trades that went through after close on Friday, represents about 3.5% of the shares in issue. Priced just above the bid, don't know what that signifies on deals of that size, might get some news eventually and then again ....
