Surprised it hasn't moved further to be honest. Slowly, slowly, etc.

The shares have broken upwards out of the 3-month triangulation pattern. Usually positive.

Good RNS news today
Also from tesco results: UK net new space growth to reduce by 38%, with renewed focus on existing portfolio reflected in a comprehensive Refresh programme, starting with 430 stores in 2012/13

M&S also announced a £500m investment programme yesterday. Looking more positive for the refit/refurb sector

Lord Gnome - as posted before, they are on the list of so one would hope so.

Are we going to get any work from Tesco's UK store refurb programme, Skinny? That would be even nicer.

ISG Appointed to MoJ Strategic Framework

ISG has been appointed to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) Strategic Alliance Agreement Framework for Construction, which has a six-year duration and a potential £1 billion expenditure over its life. ISG has been successful in three categories - National (for projects of £10 million and over), North region and South region (both for projects from £150K up to £10 million). ISG is one of six constructors appointed in the National category, and one of five successful bidders within the two regional categories.

The framework encompasses new build, alterations, refurbishment and maintenance work and can be used across prison estates, court estates, the probation service and tribunals. Additionally, there is the potential for other Government clients to also procure construction services through the framework. Under the previous MoJ framework, ISG was appointed to just one regional category - the North - and to date has delivered in excess of 40 projects valued at over £82 million.

last sunday papers mentioned tesco to spend more capex in uk rather than offshore.
this should help isg with refits and new fit outs

Thanks Aleman

STY and ISG are my investments in this sector.
Noticed that ISG have recently (1st March) been appointed to the Nationwide framework.

Tiny point but Interserve are IRV. FWIW I also hold both!

Interserve finally having an up day. Long term ISG and ISV both looking good value (and yield).

Yes, invested in ISV as well recently on results. Marginally prefer ISG, but the businesses are a bit different. Nice to have a bit of diversification...

Strong UK construction PMI released this morning. They're starting to complain about suppliers struggling to meet demand.

I have always found NL very good, particularly on high yielding stocks like Chesnara, and RUSP... and look at his apple investment up 40% since january.

Thanks Jeff.

I agree that Nick L is not a reliable tipster, but I suppose I would agree with his take on this one, wouldn't I? :-)

I think what he says is quite correct but he has come up with some dummies in the past and I personally don't rate him. But that's just me; lets hope his comments have the desired effect of bringing it to the attention of more potential buyers.

Lots of offices, contracts, turnover.

If only they could get the margins up.

2% on £1.2 billion = £24 million profit.

Alas not even 1% for the current year.

Interesting. A lot I hear about S Afria is not too good. But Jo'burg probably the best place to start from what I hear.

Good to see the expansion in the ME, which has had good margins historically.
