from tonights online edition of TELEGRAPH.....

International Power edged 8.1 higher to 300.4p on gossip GDF-Suez has started talking to the company again about a possible deal. The French company called off talks about an complicated transaction that would have seen the French giant take a majority holding in the blue-chip energy provider. In return for the stake, GDF-Suez would have transferred its non-European operations into International Power.

Funny how things turn.

Fitch now looking at the UK for a possible downgrade.

Think the markets will sell off over the next few weeks and we will see 270 here.

Question is, now, with Barclay's recommending this for a target of 340, and bid-options possible to 440, do we believe anything out there or pull out to cash - for better options 12months hence?? Dow back to 8000 would certainly deliver....and a significant deterioration in Korea could deliver too!!

Don't know is honest answer ! I believe it is a correction but also believe a double dip is still possible later in year or early next year. I want to be out of the market in that eventuality but not just yet !! As for 90% drop - FTSE less than a 1000 ? Does not bear thinking about, but I never do leverage and have no mortgage and can grow most of my own vegetables already..... so its worth the risk, IMO.

Visa - I think we are bored. Treading water until more bid rumours or action. Anyway we now have a nice divi to look forward to.
