RNS Number:9460Z InTechnology PLC 21 June 2004 21 June 2004 InTechnology plc strengthens security offering with acquisition of Netstore's security training business InTechnology plc ("InTechnology"), Europe's leading provider of data storage, security and network solutions and managed services, announces that it has acquired the NetConnect Training business ("NetConnect Training") from Netstore plc ("Netstore") for a cash consideration of #900,000 plus a further #100,000 of deferred cash consideration conditional upon performance over the next 12 months. NetConnect Training is the UK's leading independent supplier of accredited network security training on behalf of major vendors such as Check Point, Nokia, ISS and Clearswift. In the financial year to 31 March 2004, NetConnect Training recorded revenues of #1.5 million. Commenting on the acquisition, Charles Cameron, CEO of InTechnology said: "InTechnology has always offered training as part of the value provided to its partners and their customers, but typically on an ad-hoc basis. The acquisition of NetConnect Training will bring resource, relationships and a reputation around which we can formalise and grow InTechnology's training revenues across specialist distribution and utilise better the extensive storage and security expertise within our professional services division. The acquisition is expected to be earnings enhancing in the first full year of ownership." (1) Neil Lloyd, CEO of Netstore said: "Over the last two years we have worked hard on disposing non-core elements of our business. This disposal represents the final part of our programme. All our business is now core. I am pleased that we have been able to demonstrate that we can rapidly integrate acquisitions and dispose of parts not core to our business. We are also pleased to have found a good home for the training business at InTechnology."
