Excellent results, with 1.57p EPS and a strong order book up almost 40% year on year.

Plus also two earnings-enhancing acquisitions announced separately, costing a maximum £5.9m and bringing in £0.62m of operating profit. And that profit is historic so should have increased nicely by now.

In particular, the outlook quotes "strong trading" for this year to date, with confidence in "significant progress" for the Group.

It's ironic that such results should be published on the same day as UTW issues yet another RNS'd reminder of why INSE should be the preferred choice of any corporate customer looking for an energy specialist.

That's me buying some more this afternoon ahead of results. Hoping that the UTW troubles are pushing trade INSE's way, and that there's still a bit of discount for the CEO surprise move.

Actually, having looked more carefully it does appear that they do earn more, if more energy is consumed under the contract that they negotiate.

Pleasing that the share price is fairly stable in an unstable market - that's a euphemism for 'nice to see it hasn't dropped'.

I'm not sure cold weather is one of the variables that determines success here. Rapidly varying weather might require more management though. Or do they simply earn more commission if more energy is consumed ?

January trading was reported as strong, acquisitions firing on all cylinders.
With this additional bitter weather I suspect the trading update in 3 weeks to be mega.
Charts looking good too I feel very positive here.

Yes looking strong.Now trading at just 12.7x 2018 forecast earnings which are likely to be revised upwards after the results imo. Perhaps some acquisitions also in the pipe line?

Looking strong at present. Results are on 22nd March, and we know they'll be good from the excellent trading update, which concluded:

"Inspired Energy had an excellent 2017 and I am confident that 2018 will be another year of significant progress for the Group with trading in the current year to date strong."

Just noticed quite a lot of shares changed hands yesterday - biggest volume for a while - whatever that means.

I've been buying back in also. I held last year from 14p to low 20s but sold out too early and missed the big spike, things seem to be building nicely again and it looks set for another leg up.

The IC say Buy in a quick snippet as follows:

"Shares in Inspired Energy (INSE) are up 2 per cent this morning following a trading update from the group. Trading on all fronts has been strong for the group and it expects to report results in line with expectations, with revenue and order book increases of 28 and 39 per cent respectively. Buy."

Thanks yump. When you read about the Sales Director's responsibilities on INSE's web site ( ), it wasn't just sales, there were purchasing activities too. Those are big boots to fill. On the other hand, INSE is probably now in play, so I won't be selling.
