Infonic helps drive NHS efficiency with DHL Supply Chain deal
Infonic plc, (IFNC) the AIM-listed provider of innovative information management software, announces the successful deployment of its
Document Manager software within DHL's NHS supply chain solution.
Infonic's unique software has been deployed at seven DHL sites across the UK to handle incoming invoices and documentation related to
non-pharmaceutical based product supply for English Primary Care Trusts.
The deployment of Infonic's software will significantly increase the capacity of the NHS supply chain to handle incoming hard copy
invoices without a corresponding increase in NHS staff. The software will enable digital capture and secure, centralised storage of over 1.6
million supplier invoices per annum, allowing for more invoices to be processed daily within the NHS and enabling the NHS to benefit from
supplier discounts which rely on short payment terms.
Infonic's CEO Mark Thompson commented, "I'm delighted at the successful implementation of Infonic's Document Management software at
DHL's NHS Supply Chain. The potential of Infonic's document capture and workflow automation technologies to add efficiencies to the
operations of many parts of the NHS is significant and we see this as a good beach head from which to build a broader relationship with the
supply chain team at DHL".
Infonic software is installed on servers at 35 DHL sites in the UK and used by DHL employees and customers across a further 100 sites.

About Infonic plc
Infonic is a global leader in providing unique software focusing on document and text capture, distribution and analysis. Infonic's
software is used every day to improve efficiency for some of the world's leading companies, military and maritime organisations and
government departments.
Infonic was founded in 2000 and listed on AIM in 2003 (previously named Corpora plc).
Infonic makes three core software technologies:
Geo-Replicator software uses powerful, patented data compression and synchronisation technology to replicate data rapidly between
servers and laptops and server-to-server. This is vital where servers are separated geographically and data transmission would ordinarily be
slow and where personnel work remotely but need access to replicated data in the field.
Document Management software makes possible the digital capture, storage, search and retrieval of any type of document, including
scanned images, word documents, e-mails and pdfs. Our software enables businesses to dispense with hard copy filing and stores documents in
secure folder systems which permitted users can access simultaneously.
Text Analytics software automatically understands, analyses and reports on the underlying events and sentiment behind thousands of news
stories, reading unstructured news in milliseconds and presenting the end user with an instant understanding of content. Sentiment has a
number of applications such as giving financial traders a time advantage in understanding whether the news sentiment behind a stock is
positive, negative or neutral.
