25/4/2011 23:46 | I hope I didn't come across as nasty in my assessment of ADS. Just a gut reaction looking at recent history and results vs IHUK. Hope you get a surprise on results day grlz. As for IHUK, net tangible assets are £3 per share, nearly all cash. So that's an absolute baseline for fair value with a profitable stable company. Actually forgot that the latest acquisition should lead to a slight improvement in FY results compared with last year. And we might be sitting on £3.10 net tangible assets per share now. Question is, what's the endgame? Is it taken private at £1.50 a share? Is it taken over by a 3rd party at £3 a share? Is it reversed into an Aussie minerals exploration company at ????? per share? Does business suddenly drop off and it stagnates into nothing? | bozzy_s
23/4/2011 20:11 | locked down for a rerating and "new business opportunities"...... about time Justin brought something to the party:- Board Appointment I was delighted to announce the appointment of Justin Bates to the Board on 1st November 2010 which was part of our continued strengthening of the Board allowing us to pursue our broader strategic objectives. | still waiting
21/4/2011 13:34 | "aren't doing anything interesting" is what I love...they are just sticking to the knitting (under the general investors radar) and generating cashflow from it...I put fair value at £4-£5 a share rather than £2....I reckon tangible net asset value alone is about £2.50. As long as they stick to the knitting I will stick to being patient. | craftyspeculator
21/4/2011 09:11 | IHUK imho should get a NAV boost as the acquisition of Daresbury was undervalued - the only prob is IHUK aren't doing anything interesting, there has been no dramatic increase in the registration of mortgage charges in any of the subsidiaries so the business is progressing inline with management statements. £2 looks like fair value to me - based on the full utilisation of the Sutherlands funding lines imho DYOR | grlz
21/4/2011 09:01 | bozzy - ADS was suspended due to takeover talks, fell out on price. The board didn't want to sell out on the cheap and the share price enjoyed a significant rise. ADS has since raised a decent placing - well capitalised and the results should show the turnaround, which imho is ahead of the brokers estimates = opportunity for a results day bounce from the current sp, down from the highs ;) add in sector consolidation after Close Brothers offered terms for Cavanagh Group and its an interesting investment from a very low entry point DYOR | grlz
20/4/2011 23:01 | ADS results? Cor don't hold your breath. Looks a complete basket case of a company! Recent RNS's include 'statement re suspension' and more than one of 'issue of equity' Loss making no-hoper. And still valued at more than IHUK. Sorry that you invested there instead of IHUK. | bozzy_s |
