                              ALEHOUSE FINANCE PLC
                                (the "Company")

                              Notice of Redemption

Pursuant to an extraordinary resolution of the holders of the Class A2 Notes of
the Company, validly passed on 21 October 2004, the Company wishes to announce
that it has given notice of the exercise of its right of early redemption in
respect of the following classes of its Notes:-

#74,500,000 Class A1 Secured Floating Rate Notes due 2028    (ISIN XS0191959617)

#127,500,000 Class A2 7.685 Per Cent.
Secured Fixed Rate Notes due 2026                            (ISIN XS0191962249)

#67,500,000 Class B Secured Floating Rate Notes due 2031     (ISIN XS0191962678)

Accordingly, the Class A1 Notes and the Class B Notes will be redeemed on the
next interest payment date being 22 November, 2004 and, pursuant to the
extraordinary resolution, the Class A2 Notes will be redeemed on 26 October,
2004.
